Carnations express love, fascination and distinction. A species of Dianthus, Carnations technical name is Dianthus Caryophyllus. 

Historically, Carnations are known to have been used for the first time by Greeks and Romans in garlands and are considered rich with symbolism and mythology.

It is said that each color of Carnation has
a different meaning; following are the most common ones:

  • Pink Carnations – Mother’s Love
  • Yellow Carnations – Admiration
  • Dark red Carnations – Deep Love and
    a Woman’s Affection
  • White Carnations – Pure Love and
    Good Luck
  • Purple Carnations – Capriciousness
