Limonium is an ancient Greek name, derived from the word “meadow”, which refers to a picturesque open field of lush grass filled with butterflies and birds, with room to run.
Delicate and ethereal, Limonium makes a beautiful addition to any bouquet, centerpiece or other floral arrangements. This gorgeous filler flower features branching heads of tiny light white or purple flowers. The blooms start halfway up the bunch and extend over the arching stems, creating a very colorful, abundant effect.
The cool colors and fizzy look of these flowers earned them the common names of Sea Lavender, Sea Foam and Marsh Rosemary. In reality, Limonium is a type of Statice.
